Deposit Help


Below are explanations of common error messages that can occur while making a deposit.

Note: A failed transaction may result in a temporary hold or a pending transaction placed on your credit/debit card account by your bank. This hold will automatically clear in a few days. This transaction will not appear on your monthly statement and you will not be charged.

The credit card expiration date was mistyped. It should be in 2-digit month, 2-digit year format as printed on your card
The expiration date you entered is not entered correctly. Please verify that you have entered the forward slash between the month and year.

Customer does not have sv account type
The campus id number you are attempting to deposit to does not have the campus account that you selected. Please verify that you are selecting the correct account. If you are making a deposit into the Union Meal account for the first time, please call the Wiscard Office at 608-262-3258 to open the account.

The CVC number you entered is either invalid or incomplete. Please check the back of your card to verify the CVC number.
The security code you entered is incorrect. Please verify that the number matches the code on your card.

Cybersource AVS failed
Check that the postal code you have entered matches the postal code that is on record with your financial institution. Please contact your financial institution if the problem persists.

Deposits for merchant are disabled
Your deposit did not process successfully. Please try again.

Failed: Invalid Card
The credit card number or the expiration date is incorrect.

Failed: Invalid data in params
This can occur if the postal/zip code you entered is not at least 5 digits. Please double check the number you have entered. For international postal codes that are less than 4 digits, enter either a zero or the two character country code before the postal code.

For safety purposes, we cannot allow two identical transactions within a two hour period. This transaction is an exact duplicate of a previous attempt so please change either the amount or the credit card used to avoid unnecessary charges.
You cannot make two deposit attempts on the same credit card for the same amount. This can occur even if the first deposit failed.
